Hopefully that's a good omen.

What would you bribe a weather guy to name it after a Storm player?

The list of naming a cyclone use to change every 3 years....from this year it now has one list and a sub list.
If a cyclone has a major impact on the country (land) then that name is retired....ie. Tracy (1974 Darwin) and Larry (2006 Nth Queensland)
The cyclone names in each list alternate male and female and are issued from A-Z each season. This also help to tell how many cyclones have happened that season...A=1, B=2 etc etc.
Once they reach Z they start back at A again.
The current list of names is;
A Anika Anthony Alessia Alfred Ann
B Billy Bianca Bruce Blanche Blake
C Charlotte Carlos Cathy Caleb Claudia
D Dominic Dianne Dylan Debbie Damien
E Ellie Errol Edna Ernie Esther
F Freddy Fina Fletcher Frances Ferdinand
G Gabrielle Grant Gillian Greg Gretel
H Hamish Heidi Hadi Hilda Harold
I Ilsa Iggy Ita Ira Imogen
J Jasper Jasmine Jack Joyce Joshua
K Kirrily Koji Kate Kelvin Kimi
L Laurence Lua Lam Linda Lucas
M Magda Mitchell Marcia Marcus (had to highlight this one) Marian
N Neville Narelle Nathan Nora Noah
O Olga Oswald Olwyn Owen Odette
PQ Paul Peta Quang Penny Paddy
R Robyn Rusty (same as the Marcus one) Raquel Riley Ruby
S Sean Sandra Stan Savannah Seth
T Tasha Tim Tatjana Trevor Tiffany
UV Vince Victoria Uriah Veronica Verdun
WXYZ Zelia Zane Yvette Wallace
The only time one of these names wont be used if not retired is if the name at the time would be classed as to sensitive to the public (someone in the public eye with the same name is in the media for a sensitive reason...sad or bad)
