I take it by that, that would wouldn't be interested in coming to celebrate community volunteers with the Governor, Bracks and Thwaites.....come on, tickets are $120 a head...put you down for a table of ?Tigger wrote: OMFG!!!

Been there, done the volunteer thing, had the thank you's, I'm over celebrating my wonderfulness Even tho I still do voluteer stuff.....

Been there, done the volunteer thing, had the thank you's, I'm over celebrating my wonderfulness Even tho I still do voluteer stuff.....

Hail don't blame me they are coming. I was happy just with the Governor, but that's boards for you.
Tigger, some people still liked to be thanked for what they do and consider 300 attendees spent most of the summer away from their family (including Christmas) trying to help others it's the least our organisation can do. I'm sure you do from time to time.....even if it is in the form of a DRINK

Well that's just my point - why would I attend one of these things to have people tell me how wonderful they are for supporting volunteers?? Are they or have they been volunteers for anything??

And SW, I do of course understand what the event is about , but as I've said, been there, done that, as a volunteer myself, I don't sit around all day drinking you know
