Afraid I can't agree. Best's skills in general play were at least the equal of those players - with the possible exception of Pele - but he was unparallelled as a one-on-one player.

T.C. its not often that I agree with you, but re Georgie Best, I certainly and wholeheartedly concur. I had the pleasure to see him many times during his career at United and when he got the ball ,the Maestro in him took over. He would just dazzle all around him with his skills "With both feet" and score from remarkable situations or lay them on for Dennis, Willie Morgan etc. Probably the only other player, in my opinion, with the ability to turn the ball into a personal piece, during a game, was the great Brazilian, "Garrincha"
