Round 6 - Storm vs Roosters
Friday 16th April
Kick-off 7:55pm
AAMI Park
6th vs 2nd.
This is the first in a run of three home games for us (Roosters, Warriors, Sharks).
From Round 11, we play two away games, before spending the rest of the year alternating - one home game into one away game. Hopefully that aids some level of consistency.
Squad announced at 4pm, but we expect some more troops to be available for selection (Finucane, Lee).

Curious to see who gets the 9 jersey now Harry is back. Both players and Bellamy have been pretty coy on the situation. Will be good to have Finucane back if he is made available. Where he plays is another fascinating storyline to watch for me.

I have a suspicion that Nelson might end up starting on the bench with Harry at hooker and Cheese to lock.

My thought was that Cheese will start at 9 and maybe do about 30 mins and then come back on at lock. Brenko will come into the side at centre and I'd guess that Remis goes onto the wing.

Wouldn’t surprise me with Jennings dropping out - Tupou is a terrible matchup for him under the highball which have seen so far.
Harsh though, he played really well last game.

Fair to say that the Roosters have had a much easier start to the year with the draw, but you can only play who is in front of you.
Even with some injuries to the Roosters, I still think this will be a tough game. I'm interested to see what we do in regards to the young playmaker Sam Walker. He has been getting a tonne of wraps. I expect we will direct some big bodies at him all night and Welch pressuring him every time he kicks, but we have to be ready for how he might respond to that (adlib footy).

Other notes (Fox) on the teams named.
Storm: Finucane not named, despite strong speculation that he would be. Cooper Johns and rookie Jack Howarth are both unavailable due to hamstring injuries.
Roosters: The hooker position remains up in the air. Ben Marschke retains the No.9 jersey but will only play if he beats a potential two-game suspension at the judiciary on Tuesday, with fellow hookers Jake Friend (retired), Sam Verrills (knee) and Freddy Lussick (arm) all missing. Utility Adam Keighran (wrist) returns ahead of schedule on the bench and could fill the hooker role if Marschke misses out. Lindsay Collins (concussion/ankle) returns on the interchange.

I predict it will be a close one, a couple of points either way. Although WE are resounding favourites.
