Rd 16 v St George Illawarra Dragons
Completely pathetic. He has slowed right down this year and is playing like a shell of his former self.1999 wrote:If Sisa Waqa ever plays 1st grade for us again the coaching staff are kidding themselves, possibly the worst performance ever by a storm player tonight, he is disgraceful!!
Disgraceful effort from Sisa.
Mahe and Kurt's defence on the left wasn't much better.

Time for an honesty session.......
Remember this day, men, for it will be yours for all time
Im so sick of the conservative, structured play, it just doesnt work anymore!
Moors had a good game, I would start him next game.
1. Slater
2. Munster
3. Chambers
4. Mann
5. Koribete
6. Roberts
7. Cronk
8. Bromwich
9. Smith (c)
10. MacLean
11. Moors
12. Harris
13. Hinchcliffe
14. Proctor
15. Hoffman
16. Norrie
17. K. Bromwich
Throw the playbook out CB, let them play off the cuff!!

Waqa was terrible and Hampton just made a few dumb choices. Looked like he doubted himself a few times and same for Roberts. They looked in two minds.
As bad as Waqa was and has been lately, who have we got to play right wing?

Sisa needs to get that stupid look off his face and just go under the knife already to fix those bone spurs in his foot or whatever it is that has created this shadow of his former self. He's a dead set passenger this year.
The less said about Hampton the better - it's all been said before and now just sounds like a broken record. If people want to continue defending or excusing his standard of play (to put it very kindly) that's up to them.
Pathetic 'performance' all around though (yet again) - they all looked completely uninterested. It's embarrassing really.

Jesus some peoples agendas towards players are hilarious and way over the top.
Anyway.. Sisa was shocking, and he's been that way for over 12 months. Playing injured is no excuse for his continued mental lima lima lima duck ups. He's a liability on the field atm.

Hampton has serious confidence issues.
As a half he should be playing deeper on the last tackle - he's cutting down the time he has to make decisions be standing so shallow. The Dragons raced up on him so quickly.
That being said he's an effective runner of the ball.
The other issue is without a dominant half it seems like Cam is taking putting the onus on himself to get too involved. His dummy-half runs look solid but his last tackle options weren't too flash.
Fonua had over 150 metres carrying the ball. That's immense. If somehow, somehow he works out how to read defensive plays better he'd be completely devastating.
Waqa's clearly suffering from confidence issues too. Let's face it - the compressed defence doesn't work anymore. Teams have figured out how to go around the outside of it. His reading of field position kicking was woeful tonight. I can't remember him taking a kick on the full.

the boys looked like a shell of the team that played at home last week...
It's 98% mental ...make no mistake about it...
you don't lose the physical form from a 46 - 20 win in 8 days....
too upset to even think about where it leaves our season...

As bad as we played tonight lets not forget that we had a few tries go close and could have won the game. BUT!!!! In saying that, as much as I want Hampton to get better he just isn't! His 5th tackle options were terrible. Once cronk is back I would have Roberts there 100%. And as for Sisa, I don't know what is going on with him? But I also wouldn't drop him. Fonua played good, made great meters but I would give koroibete a crack next game. Oh and let's not forget who should be back next game! We will get better. So in light of tonight my 17 would be
1 slater
2 waqa
3 chambers
4 Mann
5 koroibete
6 Roberts
7 cronk
8 j Bromwich
9 smith
10 McLean
11 proctor
12 moors
13 Harris
14 hinchy
15 hoffy
16 norrie
17 k Bromwich/glasby

Courier Mail's Peter Badel has reported Cronk flying to Brisbane tonight for Origin III.
He should be back for the next game then.

Waqa was showing signs in last year's finals series of turning to Doo-doo
