Talking about Greg Inglis:
----
From left field for me....never thought of inglis as a play maker....whats everyons thoughts on him at 5/8?
http://www.heraldsun.news.com.au/common ... 23,00.htmlBellamy feels his future may lay closer to the action.
"I can see him developing into a five-eighth," Bellamy said.
"He has great skills and a real good sense for the game. There are attributes that are quite obvious to everyone, like his pace and his ability to glide across the field.
"He is a strong defender as well, so I can definitely see him developing into a five-eighth."

Agreed.... But not in the forseeable future.James wrote: Daley, Fittler, Inglis.
Too good to be centres!
Bellamy is probably trying to deflect the two top fullbacks issue.

When you have a new halfback still finding his feet and having spent most of the off season with Geyer working with you at 5/8 might have been the reason.

I haven't but I did see him training with the guys at Hindmarsh on Friday and to be honest he did not look very confident, and that was only at training. I'd say he's got a way to go before he'll be ready for NRL.

And fair enough if he was lacking confidence or wasnt ready for teh next step up then leaving him out is just fine, but they were talking him up in an article on the storm site and i just assumed he was ready for a crack.

I think someone with the speed and agility of Inglis in the centres is a great idea...
From mind an attacking 5/8th is whats been missing from our side over the last few seasons, Hills got too much of the game breaker in him, one way or the other
Hill works better with shitty halfs like Kimmorley

I really have to say that the only way that Boofa played at that kick from Orford was if he cracked a fat.

He's certainly got the ball skills to play 5/8 but I think he'll only line up there in cetain situations i.e. restarts from taps and penalties, in the red-zone.
I'm not buying the talk he's not a centre. I think his form was down due to the hip-injury he suffered against in the first minute against the Roosters. He has to get his hands on the ball as many times as possible and at fullback your relying much more on other people to make the break and then get you the ball.
