A second team for Melbourne
Greenberg likes what he sees and wants A second team for Melbourne.

The 2nd biggest city in Australia and the worlds most liveable city deserves 2 teams
How will this impact the Melbourne Storm and our fan base?
Will it increase Rugby Leagues profile in Melbourne Town or splinter the support?

Greenberg and Beattie are promising anybody and their mother a team.
The next 2 teams should be Perth and either a 2nd NZ or 4th Queensland side. Talk of Melbourne 2 is just moronic.

But isn't this an attempt to take the attack to the AFL in its heartland
With the success of the GWS; the NRL is bleeding and needs to get a shot off in the "code war" before they fall behind any further
another successful Melbourne team would be the best way to gain back the ground they have lost over the last few years.
A pre-emptive strike may show that attack is the best form of defence.
The NRL has slipped in the "code waR"
and needs to do something drastic.
Greenberg sees this.
And it is why Beattie was put in!

Absolute stupidity to put a second team in Melbourne any time soon... and the article from Greenberg actually talked about never say never but it's not in the short term plans.
The 'success' of GWS?? hahaha

Perth has to be the next team. Now is the perfect timing for it too, with the Western Force just kicked out of the Super Rugby comp. A second Melbourne team should be well after Perth, 2nd Brisbane, 2nd NZ, Adelaide. Hell I would even suggest a team in Darwin before a 2nd team in Melbourne

Mr Pool is right, I'd also think maybe a team in PNG as well before 2nd Melbourne team
