If we finish top 4 and earn that all important home final, the club have confirmed it will be at Etihad and not Olympic Park.
Bad call IMO - why would you give up the hostile environment for opposition that is the Graveyard to play at the TV studio???

Apparently this subject was discussed at the member's forum (or so I was told by someone that went).
A few reasons, Waldron reckons that we could get a bigger crowd at Docklands than compared to OP, even for week 1 of the finals. Storm wanted to farewell OP and given there was a possibility we may not finish in the top 4 they wanted a definite game for the farewell. How would it be if they did a farewell this weekend and then two weeks later we are back playing at OP? Or alternatively holding off for the farewell game for week one of the finals only to fail to get a home final so we end up with no official farewell at all?

Vulcan like logic - right
What a load of crap!!!
Brain Waldron has no fuc%#ing idea!
Why on earth would you give up any sort of home advantage to the opposition? The guy is an absolute joke who knows nothing about RL!
Please, demolition works can be held off for another 2 weeks - that's bullshit!
Brian is chasing a few extra measly $'s and it has nothing to do with a farewell! Did we have a farewell for Olympic Park when we went to Colonial or a farewell for Colonial when we went back to the Graveyard? No, so please, give me a break and get a grip on reality!

Don't think Brian Waldron would have a say as to when the refurbishment of Olympic Park begins.

Well, without Brian, we would NOT HAVE a club. He has more knowledge than all of us put together, about how to run a club in a hostile market!
In addition, we have very little home ground advantage (in the first week of the finals). We have lost at OP in the first final 3 out of 5 times!!!
Never lost a final at the dome, and 25,000 people will ensure we don't.
And how many finals have been played at Deadhead stadium ?Never lost a final at the dome, and 25,000 people will ensure we don't.
Do you REALLY think there will be a 25 thou crowd ?
Keep taking the pills OK
Manly are laughing if they are coming to Melbourne to play at Eithad Stadium.
Won't we just get the same amount of people but at a much bigger stadium? with zero atmosphere?

We had over 20k at the Warriors regular season game there last year or the year before (can't remember which year it was), and 33k at the prelim at Manly, but would depend who we're playing I'd suggest

Manly or Broncos - they should both be able to draw a crowd surely.

Broncos youd think would get well over 30k.
Ground doesnt bother me, if we're good enough we'll win.
PS. Wouldnt be suprised though if Collingwood requested that work start straight away so as to have there training ground ready by x-mas.

close to that crowd, and a much better finals record than at OP (2 from 5)!!!
