Klown and Atkins. FFS. And a Sutton on the sideline as well.

Ngl, if we win, it will feel to me like we've "pinched" one, even though we won the minor premiership by two clear games. I just feel that several teams with more stacked rosters than ours have underperformed this year. But I won't complain. Take it and run.

Given all that, Craig deserves Coach of the Year for me, even though the usual NSW nuffies will whinge about it.

Liking the build up to this one. The NAS judiciary decision out of the way. All the talk of the new Broncos coach and what it means for NSW. All the focus off the guys.

Can anyone honestly say they thought our guys would make the GF this year? I thought maybe they could and hoped it but I was never confident.

If they win this one I think it eclipses the 2012 and 2020 premierships given the strength of opposition.

Nah 2012 was very special given what we'd gone through in 2010.

2012 was special after the salary cap, but we still had a starstudded team and went in heavy favorites in my mind..

Think id put this one at the top of the list, given i think its the best team we've lined up against in a gf and on paper probably the weakest comparatively we've been to the opposition and I'm far from confident.

Something special about the fact we were the last team to topple them and if we could 4 years later be the team to stop them also, whilst we've probably been the second best throughout that whole time and trying to chip away to reclaim our spot as the games premier benchmark club after we lost that aura to them. It does have some sort of feeling of finality to it too with bellamy surely not having much longer left. One of these days, we will experience a decline, it is inevitable. But that is not this day! How amazing would it be to drop off from the benchmark club and then at the other end of that be the team to take it straight back and start another dominant era of our own. Crazy really. Any other team would fall right away I feel, but our guys have worked so hard to bridge the gap and be the best again, what a special club

Also it'll be our first without Billy or Smith in a long time. Throw in our history with the ref's they've appointed, nas suspension, clearys whinge getting bunker changed, and I see over the last couple of days a bit of Sydney media digging up the wrestle tactics again with king when cleary got injured against us,, and I'm.bloody fired up, this one will take the cake as most satisfying for me if we get it done, lets gooo!!!!

Come on boys let's do it for the NAS! And did say to my mates at the beginning of the year it looks good for this year as we have depth and it showed. GO STORM! And I will call it now even better next year.

Gus Goolies has written us off without NAS, a nice little extra motivation

I replayed the Cleary "my shoulder hurts" incident in last weeks game and I honestly believe he is faking it. It occurs when the game is truly over and right in front of the cameras.

The storm should not believe that he is not 99% fit. That shoulder is to draw attention to try and hurt him and get sympathy / penalties. He is a VERY clever player.

I agree. I think it was hammed up for effect. Whether injured or not, we just need to focus on playing our best game, straight up the middle.

If we go away from that in order to try and get at Cleary on the edge, we take away from our true strength.

I doubt Bellamy falls for this and gets drawn into a Roosters 2018 situation again.

2018 was too personal for Cam as well which played a role in the team not being focussed enough.

Had Nelson played I would imagine we'd run him out wide a few times but I don't think we'll stray much from the game plan whether Cleary is hurt badly or not.

I'm sure we still run Howarth at him but that would have happened anyway.

Exactly. We will target his edge anyway as it can leak points and we have already had success there.

But I don’t think we give Nathan’s possible injury any consideration. We play exactly as we would if he was 100% fit.

Get a quick PTB and flood the middle.
Target key areas where defensive issues have been identified.
Get our kick chasers challenging high balls all night long. Even when we don’t get a try, we often force a mistake.

To’o doesn’t get tested in aerial raids anywhere near enough and we have two big blokes that can out leap most tall wingers.

Then there is the highballs on the right edge giving Katoa an opportunity. He has been catching highballs all year for fun. Give him a number of opportunities.

G'Day Storm crew. New poster here heading off to Sydney for the GF hoping to be lucky for a third time after attending the premierships 1999 & 2017.

Staying in the Parramatta after we arrive Saturday arvo. Would any of you know of any Sydney pubs where Storm members might congregate Saturday or Sunday prior to the game.? Would be good to get in the zone pre game before we head off to Homebush. Would be good to mingle with with our kind on foreign soil. Go you good things.

No pub recommendations as we’ve always started off in The Rocks before heading to the GF….BUT welcome to stormfans and I’ve got a great feeling that third time will ALSO work a charm for you Aps. 1999, 2017 and 2024 would be awesome. GO STORM.
Remember this day, men, for it will be yours for all time
