We all genuinely know that the hoo-haa was never about mid season transfers as such......it was about Melbourne Storm benefiting from a transfer that might allow a late season rally when the entire NRL world thought that this was FINALLY the season that Storm would fall out of the 8 and fail to play Finals footy.

To be fair he's asked for the release, it doesn't yet appear to have been granted.
While taupau to eels is no different than nofo to storm, we all know the media won't say Jack... or if they do, it's all storms fault, see, we told you the nofo signing was the start of the sky falling

If the Eels do sign Taupau, I wonder if we could then pounce on Brown. Doubt we'd have the cash available though. But it would be funny to hear Sydney cry again.

Rumour Craig and Frank had a meeting with Eliesa katoa this morning

Apparently Katoa rejected the Canberra raiders recently

Would be interesting if he came to us

Looks like the Rosters have also got a player from the tigers, before the deadline, for the rest of season. Where is the outrage and media coverage staying is bad for the game.

Do we reckon the Club landed a middle forward by 5pm as was being reported by Brent Read ?

Seems like certain Clubs weren't interested in moving on players even though they're out of Finals contention.

That's ok....one day they'll come knocking and I hope Storm tells them to lima lima lima duck off.

I'd be going for Klemmer if rumours of him being on the outer are true.

No thanks. Brings more problems than he solves.

Klemmer is an origin/rep level player still but Newcastle would need to take a bite out of his contract for us to be really interested imo.

Tariq Sims does it again.
Shoulder to the head of a Sharks player, 10 in the bin and I'll be surprised if he plays again this year.

If we are actually looking to the future Trent and howarth should be the starting second row next year. After all we did sign howarth on big money makes no sense for him to not get any game time this year with the injury toll we have had and no starting spot next year, and I’d prefer Trent over sims.

With NAS, Welch, Tui & Tepai up front plenty of experience in the pack still.

Mick crocker was no cleanskin, but he did a great job for us. if Simms buys in, I can see him being worth the risk. Can't be much worse than nas in terms of dicey on field conduct tbh

Storm have signed Eliesa Katoa from the Warriors for 2023 and 2024.

Tui Kamikamica and Tepai Moeroa have both re-signed for one more season.
