Round 13 - Storm v Titans
With this being a pre-Origin match and players out injured (and some injured players could come back for Origin) here is my time:
1 Nicho Hynes
2 George Jennings
3 Reimis Smith
4 Justin Olam
5 Dean Ieremia
6 Ryley Jacks/ Cooper Johns
7 Jahrome Hughes
8 Jesse Bromwich
9 Brandon Smith
10 Tui Kamikamica
11 Tom Eisenhuth (9 day turnaround hoping he overcomes concussion)
12 Kenny Bromwich
13 Dale Finucane
14 Nelson Asofa-Solomona
15 Aaron Booth
16 Chris Lewis
17 Aaron Pene
18 Trent Loiero
19 Isaac Lumelume
20 Cooper Johns/ Ryley Jacks
21 Not sure who is left
If Olam gets suspended, which I hope he doesn't, do we bring in Lumelume and play him at centre.?

If you fail the HIH test, the minimum protocol for concussion is 12 days so Tom Eisenhuth will probably be out so Chris Lewis will come in I think
We could play Ryley Jacks in the centres, if Justin Olam gets a week. Ryley is a good tackler and obviously can pass. Cooper Johns stays at 6
Trent Loiero to replace Chris Lewis on the bench
But yeah, the next man up will stay our moto. Even if that means the ball boy.

In accordance with the current Concussion Guidelines, there is no defined period of time that a player must be withheld from play following a concussion, although an adult seeking to participate in the following rounds' matches (or any available game in less than an 11 day period) requires written clearance from a specialist concussion doctor. The duration of exclusion from play is based on an individual's recovery as managed by a medical practitioner (doctor). In cases of uncertainty about the player's recovery, always adopt a more conservative approach, "if in doubt, sit them out".
Agree, its usually a very total conservative approach. And 11/12 days is the usual timeframe.
The concussions are defined by what happened to Paps which is a big worry which is why I think they’ve decided to give him several extra weeks since Hynes is flying at the moment. Hopefully its not as bad as Cordner or even Kleary as that would greatly reduce his playing time and possibly career. I hope they give him as much time as possible because at age 22 he still could have a full career. The new rules will definitely help someone like him extend his career.

Olam not charged, but Felise has been charged for tripping. Still misses a week ( which is Origin 1 ) whether he fights it or not , so I expect he will challenge. Whatever happens, he will not play for us next week.
Kenny in for Felise, and presumably Trent Loiero into the 17 for Tom Eisenhuth.
It will be great to get some troops back, but blokes like Lewis and Booth have been such good fill-ins - and of course the bloke currently wearing 1 has been a revelation.
It would be lovely if the club could give us an update on Jack Howarth

Titans have been scoring points well. 27.2 points per game over the past 5 weeks is very respectable. It is their defence that has been deadset horrible.
Team line-ups next week will be interesting... for both clubs. For those upset that this game will likely be played at Sunshine Coast Stadium, at least you are only missing out on a QLD Cup game. We will likely be without 4 of those that played last night, only getting K Brom back.
I am excited for more Pene!
As of the conclusion of Round 11, the NRL Average for Points Per Game (PPG) in 2021 is 44.68.
The Titans over the past 5 weeks are averaging games at 61.6 PPG. 16.92 more points per game or 38% higher than the average, which is significant.
It seems like in 2021 that there has been a heap more points scored, but the data doesn't show that particularly. Overall we are up 2.92 PPG this year, compared to last year - and 3.67 PPG compared to 2017. Their might be more blowouts this year, but the overall points scored is only slightly up. For reference, the Total PPG over the past few seasons are;
2021 - 44.68
2020 - 41.76
2019 - 39.51
2018 - 40.73
2017 - 41.01

Both. They closed that loophole one year when Lote plead guilty, missed the Broncos game, but lined up for the Maroons. Now you miss both.
If you are named for Origin, you can’t take part in the game prior.
