Trial Match
Harry's injury could force him to miss the first month. Lucky we have Brandon smith, the Cheese may get his wish
Remis Smith was great when he got the ball. He looks fast and strong, it would have been good if he got more of it.

Melbourne young gun Harry Grant will likely need scans on a knee injured during Saturday’s trial game against Newcastle in Albury.
Grant limped off the field during the game with a ligament injury in his knee and could miss the start of the NRL season.
“He’s done a medial so I doubt if he’s going to be ready for Round 1,” Storm coach Bellamy said post-match.Bellamy admitted Grant was a little down after an interrupted pre-season following some injury problems late last year.
“He’s obviously down a little bit,” Bellamy said.
“I think he had a few injuries towards the end of last year as well and he hasn’t had a great pre-season for us in that way either actually, he’s had a few injuries through pre-season.
“So I think we’re looking for him just to get a bit of continuity with his training and playing and hopefully if he can do that he’ll show the form that he showed last year.”

Thank you kindly TC... sounds positive at least.TC wrote: ↑Sun Feb 28, 2021 10:00 amNot too bad. Drifted in and out a bit but was solid and had some good chases. They're all a bit rusty, but I think he might go alright.Storm Spirit wrote: ↑Sun Feb 28, 2021 9:29 am I was out yesterday evening so didn’t get to watch any of the trial on the stream. How did Reimis Smith play ? Did he look comfortable at centre ? Thks in advance.
He'll need some more match time to get all the dumb and lazy Canterbury Bankstown attitude out his game

The real issue with the trial game was we didn't get our wave line right when attacking on the right side. The left side was fine with Addo Carr and Olam, Kenny and Munster but the right side needs a lot of work. The runners were infront of Hughes and his passing, and Hughes actually threw the ball behind them.
We had a number of players roll through Right Centre and Right Wing on the day; but whoever starts there v South Sydney needs to do a better job. Belly Ache is still working it out and it is a work in progress but generally everything else worked so well that it stood out that the right side needs fixing.

There's a fairly raw rookie doing nothing at the moment we could sign for a 4 - 6 week stint in case Harry needs a few weeks longer to get his knee right.
Some bloke called C Smith. Dunno much about him. He's based in SE Qld apparently.

Over-rated. he'll never make it in first grade.Storm Spirit wrote: ↑Mon Mar 01, 2021 2:41 pmThere's a fairly raw rookie doing nothing at the moment we could sign for a 4 - 6 week stint in case Harry needs a few weeks longer to get his knee right.

We must all hang together or, most assuredly, we shall all hang separately
