Depends on the kind of look you're after. I'll have a look in my list and let you know later or tomorrow.

I forgot I flushed out the fonts on my laptop. Now I only have the default list, so they're no good for suggestions. My master list is at home and I won't be back til tomorrow, so do with whatever you like from your list I guess. Sorry.

used a brush...a grunge brush that sucks...but i dont know any other ways to do decent backgrounds.

i also just made this greg inglis thing...i thought it looked ok, alot of white and empty space but as i said before i dont like it crowded..might be to big aswell:

A pop-out banner like the Geyer one would probably look best being blended to a white background on this forum:

oh yeah, and I optimized the banner to reduce it from something like 190Kb to 60Kb, but your banners could probably be a little smaller in height to start with Kingy... ;)

Well see how your pop-out banners have a grey colour around the outside of the banner, you should be able to specify that you want the outside areas transparent, and then for any semi-transparent colours, you should be able to specify what colour you want them blended to - for the purposes of this forum, white would be best (see what I did with your Geyer banner above).
But all this depends on the software you're using, and while you're learning, the grey should be fine. If you need any help converting your pop-out banners so that they are transparent around the outside, I'll be happy to do it for you until you get the hang of it.

i use photoshop 7....and use a transperant bacground when doing it....

to tell you the truth i cant really see the grey colour on the outside.....if its a real light grey my eyes wouldnt be able to pick it up anywho...maybe its just my poor erasing skills...i rubbed out the entire background etc by using the eraser tool
