Seems that the more i stay away from australia, the less chance I get to return. I've been offered a really nice position at the company I work for this past year and I'm not sure an opportunity like this come often, especially with many of my fellow friends are still unemployed after 3 years. If I do come back, the earliest would be in July but if not, I won't be seeing you guys at the games or any other time for that matter, for at least another season.
It's been pretty hard making the decision but I hope I'm making the right one. I'll still be on ths board and reading about the Storm from the regular sources. So online, I won't be going anywhere. But to TC, rach, neil, buzz, freeze, silkin, and all you other forum goers that I've met but can't think of off the top of my head at 1:32 am, I'll see you all again some time at my next Storm game. Whenever that would be.

Hmm, good news on the job front, bad news on the Melbourne Storm supporting front.
That would drive me crazy not being able to go to games. Do you get to watch any of the games?
I'm struggling enough as it is now with no league happening. And I remember last year when I was working in Swan Hill and the trouble I had finding somewhere that I could watch the away games.
Well we'll have to do all we can to keep you up to date on all things Storm related.

No, unfortunately I don't think I'll be able to watch any games although star sports does (did?) have a dose of NRL once a week with random games, so there's a remote chance one of them would be a Storm game. Last year I caught one Storm game, and it happened to be the one I didn't want to watch, that rabbits game. Bummer.
I did get to watch the ashes live though.
I wish Star Sports still had the deal with the Storm to show all their games but sadly it seemed to expire back in 2001 or so.

Well, I'll be doing do two jobs actually. Overseeing oil trading and shipments and maintaining office computers. All done mainly behind the desk in Jakarta. Occasional trips to shipping ports. The trading is in line with what I did in uni and the IT is mainly a hobby but a plus. I'll have a couple of people helping me with the computers.
Btw, Bali isn't a country and Star Sports is all over Asia.

Ah well, I'm fairly sure I'll meet most, if not all of those players in round 1 or 2.

Round 3 and at the social club I chatted to 15 of the 17 players, plus Steve Bell, Andrew McFadden, Glen Turner and Craig Bellamy. The only players of the 17 that I missed were Rodney Howe and Scott Hill (was he at the social club?).stormer2004 wrote:lucky bastard has to show off!!!!Hmm, all?
