Hey Everyone Tedus is back ... and so are the teams in training for 2008.
After all that has happened to my team with players departing and crap in the media I had to head down to training to sort out fact from fiction and I was joined by a football-loving bear suffering withdrawal symptoms ... and Tedus too of course.
Here is the other bear I spoke of, his name is Dazza the Doggies bear.
Please don't hold the colours against him, he is not as good looking as Tedus but he is harmless and loves his footy too.

Here are the bears as we approach Belmore Sports Ground
As they wait for the training session to begin they start by playing nicely
... then it gets rough and they start trying out new wrestling moves

Training begins, Tedus is a bit concered at first
But then he remembers that his team are the premiers and flogged the Dogs both times they met in 2007 so he starts to show off a bit more.
I make sure to stop his showboating before the players come off ... I remind him what has happened to the reigning-premiers the last three seasons and he shuts up for a while.

We have a bit of a chat with the officials watching on the sideline
Then the players make their way in the dressing sheds ... I keep an eye on Tedus, he is a little bit cheeky but none of the boys seem to mind ... he even shows them some of the other things he has got up to.

And just before anyone gets annoyed with those pictures, to reward you for scrolling down this far I have a final picture ... it was taken a few weeks ago but I hadn't uploaded it until now.

Just wondering Christa, how do the players (from doggies or from any other teams) re-act to tedus and his mates? i take it this is something you have been doing for awhile now? (taking the bears along to games) do they know the bears names, and their stories???

I haven't been doing it for long at all. I started in August as an effort to cheer Thinga up but when I was done everyone wanted to know when he would be coming to another Storm game.
Today was the first time I took him to a different NRL club but I picked people that I knew would have a sense of humour ... or wouldn't say much at all.
I told Terry, Luke and Hazem some of the other things Tedus had got up to and they laughed.
