It's great to see that even though Channel Nein won't show NRL games at a decent time, advertisers are prepared to show NRL players in ads featuring on Melbourne TV.

This topic was prompted by an ad I just saw on Channel 10 for Gatorade which featured Sonny Bill Williams.

Anyone seen any other ads featuring NRL players?

The only other one I recall is Luke Ricketson in the Nutrigrain ad.

I have usually seen the Lowe's ads during games on Foxsports.

Channel Nein has actually included NRL highlights in it's Wide World of Sports ads.

Saw some Cowboys players, the Bulldogs' Steve Price and Storm's own Billy Slater.

But the ad even included our very own PD!!!

I only saw the ad because I was watching the cricket. Otherwise I wouldn't have seen it as I very rarely watch Channel Nein.

The ad is actual false in it's claim about seeing all the great sporting events on Nein. Last I heard The Ashes weren't going to be on Nein, or any other FTA TV channel, the Grand Prix's are on Channel 10, their "coverage" of NRL would be laughable if it wasn't so crap. The Superbowl is on SBS and I think the Australian Open is on Ch 7.

Apart from the Super Bowl I wouldn't rate any of them as "great" sporting events.

Anyway, cricket's not a sport, it's a sedative.
