I'm pretty excited because my nephew has been named Captain of the Victorian Schools hockey team. He is in the senior team. For some reason there is no U16 comp for Hockey Victoria. Which is strange. He has captained the Vic state teams 2 years running prior to being named captain for the schools team on Saturday. VC of the U13 team, then capt U14, U15's.

he's also named in the U18 indoor state team...

So, me just bragging as I'm a proud auntie!!!!

The only thing is his club team, Essendon are called (funnily enough) the Bombers, and to have to yell that out at club games is blaspheme!! I'm a magpie!

I certainly think it is. I have said since he got picked for the U13 state team that he would play for Australia. He plays 1 grade below state league at the moment too, as well as his U17 club team.

When he gets an Aust gig, I'll let you all know. hehehehe
