From the HS site this morning....

CHANNEL Nine chief Eddie McGuire will step down as the company's chief executive.

Nine's website has reported the decision this morning, following widespread speculation Mr McGuire would step down from the role and move back to Melbourne, where his is also Collingwood Football Club president.

Dammit! I hope this doesn't mean he'll be back all over the tv again  :x

That's exactly what it means, Tigger. From http://au.news.yahoo.com/070517/2/13hy9.html -

"Nine said McGuire will move to an increased presence on air and the provision of creative and programming services, with the change taking effect from June 30."

Doh!  I thought we were getting rid of him and now this  :'(
Figures he couldn't do the job for Nine - he's too involved with Collingwood anyway   ;-)

Eddie back at Nein in Melbourne.
If we see a change in NRL (and Storm) coverage I'm willing to bet it will be for the worse.
We must all hang together or, most assuredly, we shall all hang separately

He's replacing Temptation at 7pm according to today's HS. Fortunately for me if I am watching TV at that time it's Monday Night Football and the rest of the week it's either Blankety Blanks or Friends.
