This thread is about the Champions League, not the Serie A. You'll need to wait until the weekend for them to score. ;)

I've done that plenty of times and had so many arguments due to Time differences  ;D Especially now with us leaving Daylight Saving, Britain going to British Summer Time and Times in GMT  :-k

lets hope NOT!!!!!
Even though the Romans are 2nd in Serie A (Thank you SBS Goalisamo :)) Man U are in deadly form - just like they're 4-1 demolition of Blackburn

Speaking of Man Utd, it looks like they'll be getting another Dutch Striker coming to Old Trafford.  Ajax's Jan Huntellaar looks like he'll be transferring to Manchester over the Northern summer.  He is in exceptional form in the Eredivisie and part of the reason why Ajax is back near the top of the Dutch League.  He'll be a good signing for the Premiership.

to be fair.....

half time sees  Roma up 1 nil with United down to ten men with Scholes sent off at the 32 minute mark.

United released a warning to all supporters before the game say to be aware that they could be attacked and before the game fights broke out with the the police moving in and from news reports only targeted English supporters.

the game hasn't been interrupted but the scenes don't look good

Second half seeing a lot of phatom free kicks to the home team and even being one man down Rooney via Ole's pass has put United level but more importantly give United an Away goal.

1-1 30 minutes to go

Roma gets another one...2-1

and then there is this
At half-time, shortly after United conceded a goal, police with shields and batons were seen beating back fans, mainly from the visitors' area.

Sky's reporters said there were disturbances near the Olympic stadium before the match and a news agency said three English fans had been injured.

Earlier, the United club was earlier accused of racism after warning fans at the quarter-final tie they faced being attacked by hooligans

Those travelling have been warned of danger spots in the city and the possibility of "being attacked by Ultras" (Roma's hardcore supporters).

The letter, which is posted on the United website under the headline "Advice for Roma-bound Reds", has sparked outrage in Italy.

Final score 2-1 to Roma.

United although they didn't play well and with ten men for 2/3's of the game would be happy that on the away goal rule see the return leg in six days time at Old Trafford sees it all level and everything to play for.

United fans are being kept in the stadium for another 90 minutes for their own safety and will be shown videos on the big screen.

Well more trouble out side the ground before the United Roma game and it seems that a large number of people (note I haven't called them supporters) have showed up hell bent on causing trouble.

A lot of Ultra Roma Supporters are out in force which would be a concern for many decent football fans at the ground.....how they got into the country in the first place should be one issue that needs investigating.

21 minute mark and one would have to say that United have woken back up.......goals to Carrick in the 11th minuted, Smith in the 16th and Rooney in the 18th minute means Roma must score at least twice for any sniff to go through.

Oh, Van Der Saar and Rio have seemed to fixed their problems (so far)
