Sunday games:

Newcastle came from 2-1 down to beat Spurs 3-2 @ White Hart Lane, Obafemi Martins scoring the equaliser for the Magpies, then setting up the winner for Nicky Butt 2 minutes later.

Everton had to settle for a 1-1 draw with Reading @ Goodison Park with newly-converted Toffees fan Sylvester Stallone looking on. Andy Johnson's headed goal cancelling out an earlier own goal from Joleon Lescott.

Football hates me. :(
I'm still searching for the reasons to why it does.
This dislike is not restricted to the Premier League but I wasn't sure where else to put this complaint.

Man City 0 Backburn 3
Two stunning goals from Blackburn Rovers winger Morten Gamst Pedersen helped bring the curtain down on Manchester City's recent revival.
A Villa 2 Watford 0
Martin O'Neill's side earned their first win in 12 Barclays Premiership games thanks to an own goal from Gavin Mahon and Gabriel Agbonlahor's sixth goal of the campaign.
Fulham 1 Tot’ham 1
Pascal Chimbonda scored an 88th-minute leveller to earn Tottenham Hotspur a point after Vincenzo Montella's penalty four minutes earlier looked to have earned 10-man Fulham victory at Craven Cottage.
M’brough 5 Bolton 1
A virtuoso performance by Stewart Downing helped Middlesbrough inflict a crushing defeat on a pedestrian Bolton Wanderers
N’castle 2 West Ham 2
Newcastle United staged a second Barclays Premiership fightback in a week to snatch a draw against lowly West Ham United
Portsmouth 0 Charlton 1
Former Portsmouth midfielder Amady Faye grabbed his first Charlton Athletic goal with a late winner against his old club in a Fratton Park shock
Redding 3 Sheff United 1
Reading striker Shane Long scored his first Barclays Premiership goal to help the Royals to victory as tempers frayed in a battle between two of last season's promoted sides.
Liverpool 2 Chelsea 0
Rafael Benitez claimed a first Barclays Premiership win over Chelsea since becoming Liverpool boss thanks to goals from Dirk Kuyt and Jermaine Pennant.
Wigan 0 Everton 2
Everton midfielder Mikel Arteta scored a second-half double as Wigan Athletic suffered a club record-equalling seventh successive league defeat
Arsenal 2 Man Utd 1
A 94 minute header by Thierry Henry saved Arsenal from it’s first defeat as it’s new stadium and kept Arsenal in touch of the top of the table leaders. A Rooney header mid way through the second half put United ahead and a chance to go 9 points clear of Chelsea at the top of the table, but United seem to drop their heads and allowed Arsenal back into the game. Fireworks are the normal for these two teams when they meet and today was no different with short fuses burning quickly by players of both teams.

The table hasn’t changed much with Reading, Blackburn, Middlesbrough and Aston Villa all making a move up while Spurs, Newcastle, Man City and Fulham all drop positions.

United showed why it will be a battle to the end for Chelsea to get to the top of the table over night with an impressive display across the park. Although it was only against Watford the teamwork shown by Sir Alex's men has ensured that Chelsea will have to get back to the way they played last year.

Of the past 6 games United has gained 13 points where Chelsea have only gained 9.

Games over night

Bolton 1 - 1 Charlton
Charlton Athletic clung on for a precious point in their fight to beat the Barclays Premiership drop after withstanding a sustained second-half assault at Bolton Wanderers.

Man Utd 4 - 0 Watford
Manchester United maintained their six-point lead at the Barclays Premiership summit with an Old Trafford victory stroll against rock-bottom Watford

N'castle 3 - 1 Aston Villa
Newcastle United held off an Aston Villa rally to pick up three Barclays Premiership points at St James' Park.

Chelsea 3 - 0 Blackburn
Goals from Didier Drogba, Frank Lampard and substitute Salomon Kalou against Blackburn Rovers kept Chelsea in touch with leaders Manchester United at the top of the Barclays Premiership.

Reading 3 - 2 Wigan
Wigan Athletic's woes continued as Reading came from behind to inflict a ninth successive defeat on Paul Jewell's side - an unwanted new club record

Portsmouth 0 - 0 Middlesbrough
Portsmouth missed the chance to move fifth in the Barclays Premiership as a Jonathan Woodgate-inspired Middlesbrough held firm at Fratton Park

Sheffield Utd 2 - 0 Fulham
Jon Stead and Michael Tonge ended personal goal droughts to lift Sheffield United seven points clear of the Barclays Premiership relegation zone.

West Ham 1 - 2 Liverpool
Dirk Kuyt and Peter Crouch scored the goals for Liverpool at Upton Park as West Ham United failed to find the spark to fire their Barclays Premiership relegation battle.

What a game this morning and although the 4 - 0 win kept United 6 points clear there will be questions over the handling of the game by the Ref.

The first 20 minutes looked like it was going to a close and tight game until a some very bad decisions by the Ref saw tempers start to boil. United went ahead after a suspect penalty after Ronaldo slotted it in from the spot. I say suspect as it shouldn't have been given but after the ref missed one minutes earlier to Rooney it seemed like it was a quick pay back.

Players from both teams started to get frustrated and going into the break a few could have been given yellow or red cards if the Ref had have been stronger and or better.

The second half saw United step it up in the first 15 minutes and put another two past Robinson and from then on it was United in training mode to finish the game with another later in the half. United used all their subs after Van Der Sar broken his nose in a clash with Robbie Keane which saw United's John O'Shea finish in goal for the last five minutes.

So results from this weekends games:

Tottenham Hotspur 0 - 4 Man Utd
Manchester United restored their six-point lead at the top of the table with an emphatic 4-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane.

Middlesbrough 1 - 1 Arsenal
Thierry Henry proved 10-man Arsenal's saviour again as the Gunners fought back to snatch a point at Middlesbrough.

Aston Villa 1 - 0 West Ham
John Carew became an instant hero with the Aston Villa fans when he scored on his home debut to plunge West Ham United deeper into relegation trouble.

Blackburn 2 - 1 Sheffield Utd
Morten Gamst Pedersen broke Sheffield United hearts with a stunning free-kick winner deep into injury time to give 10-man Blackburn Rovers three points at Ewood Park.

Charlton 0 - 1 Chelsea
Chelsea closed to within three points of Premiership leaders Manchester United - but were made to work for their 1-0 win over relegation-threatened Charlton Athletic.

Fulham 2 - 1 Newcastle
Second-half goals from Fulham strikers Heidar Helguson and Brian McBride shot down Newcastle United and gave the London side a notable double.

Man City 0 - 2 Reading
Leroy Lita sent Reading home dreaming of Europe with a second-half brace to beat Manchester City at the City of Manchester Stadium.

Watford 0 - 1 Bolton
Nicolas Anelka's second-half strike put Bolton Wanderers back on course for a European place and left Watford rooted to the foot of the Barclays Premiership.

Wigan 1 - 0 Portsmouth
Winger Lee McCulloch proved he is still committed to the Wigan Athletic cause by smashing home a priceless winner to end the Latics' depressing run of nine straight defeats in all competitions.

Liverpool 0 - 0 Everton
This Merseyside derby promised a lot but ultimately failed to deliver as Everton scrapped a hard-fought goalless draw on their short trip across Stanley Park

Some interesting results over night and Liverpool take a bit of a stumble, Reading took the point and at the same time made it 8 wins in a row at home in all comps and at the moment are the in form team having won 5 of the last 6 PL game. United and Chelsea kept the pressure on each other with wins but United goal difference could be the difference between the two at the end of the season.

Results over night are;

Reading  Aston Villa  2 - 0
Newcastle Liverpool 2 - 1
Man. United Charlton 2 - 0
Everton Blackburn 1 - 0
Chelsea Middlesbrough 3 - 0
West Ham Watford 0 - 1
Sheff Utd Tottenham 2 - 1
Portsmouth Man. City 2 - 1

I'll post the brief reports, table and next round schedule after nights games have been played
