Judging by the size of it and the fact that I have read most of his tour diaries I never really planned on buying it. But that was until I went shopping at Westfields Parra last weekend and I saw that he was signing copies of the book that were much cheaper than the RRP (only 34.95) so figured I'd at least browse through it and I found something that hadn't featured in anything else he'd written because it had very little to do with cricket.

The Sydney Olympics of September-October 2000 provided me with a life highlight when I was afforded the honour of running down George Street in the city with the Olympic flame the evening before the opening ceremony as an estimated 500 000 thousand people lined the streets. At one point, however, it almost went horribly wrong when I stumbled on a speed bump while engaging with the crowd and nearly set my 'running aide' the person who was jogging with me, ablaze

He was clearly exerggerating a little with what he wrote, he did trip but I wasn't anywhere near the torch at the time.
