ICC Super Series
I'm toying with the idea of going to the Sunday game. Friday's out of course and tomorrow's busy. I think Aussies should do okay.
And congrats to Cameron White on his selection. Perhaps we are seeing the future captain of Australia?

I thought of going today, but decided I can't really be bothered. I think it will be close. The World XI haven't really had a lot of time to form a team mentality. Could be a minus for them
Storming our way to glory!

Damn!!! Good game!
I seriously thought we were gone after that slump late in our batting session. Looked seriously like we'd struggle to make 240. Then Lee gave us a nice finish, if anyone saw the 6 he hit in the 2nd last over might've seen me in my Storm jersey 2nd row back from the fence.
Even with a score of 255 I thought we were deadset gone, what with the World XI's batting line up.
Main detractions were a pisspoor crowd for an international one day match, official crowd was 18,435; the poor atmosphere at Telstra Dome; and the Aussies bowling the World XI out with nearly an hour's drinking time still left (positive on that one was it meant I could go to the pub and pay a fair bit less).

Oh - I saw that six - not you tho Surandy!
And didn't Channel Nein again show their commitment to live sport by NOT showing Australia the last over at all! News just couldn't wait those 3 minutes for the last over. And if you can't remove a dreadful "human interest" story from the news, why not just cut one from A Current Affair - none of those stories are interesting at all!

That's okay Buzz, the 6 was actually 5 or 6 seats away from where I was sitting and from replays I saw there wasn't much footage of the crowd itself so it'd be hard to make me out. I only know I was on tv coz I knew exactly where the ball was hit and where I was standing in relation to it, although even I didn't see myself on the replay (it was a touch too quick to focus on any one person).Buzz wrote:Oh - I saw that six - not you tho Surandy!!

Bullshit we'll get belted! not in the one day series anyway, people are forgeting we actually WON the tri series in england, and back on australian soil i think we should give them a run in the test as well, noone was in form in england perhaps a victory if we can get our bowling sorted out?
BTW the pitches didnt help in england either, was there one decent test pitch the whole tour?

I really have to say that the only way that Boofa played at that kick from Orford was if he cracked a fat.

I think we've been lucky to make the series 2-0 because the ICC World XI squad is really good.
World XI might try a bit harder tomorrow to win it.
