Ohhh No England lose again i just hate to see that.
And if i remember right someone here not mention any names SW keep going on about how is is such a bad captain. I think he played pretty smart with the power play. Hogg spell bloddybrilliant. I didnt watch us bat but happy with the victory i think it was something like the 21st straight WC win for us the boys are doing well. I just cant see us losing now

Hey Perthstormer, the powerplay was brilliantly done. Watching the game I was wondering what Ponting would do after the 2nd powerplay as England were going well at that stage.
The commentators shitted me around the middle of Australia's innings, kept going on about how Australia were struggling. I admit Ponting and Clarke weren't setting the world on fire with their stroke play at that stage but seriously, they were only chasing 248. At that stage there was no need to go the thrash and risk their wickets, after 30 overs the Aussies were about 2/134 and doing it comfortably.
Nice bit of controversy with Symonds being ruled not out from a catch mere centimetres from the rope, not that the result would have made any difference.

I'm not surprised, they came surprisingly close to being knocked out of the CWC by Bangladesh last night. We are now down to a maximum of 5 teams vying for the semis, going on results so far I can't see England making it.perthstormer wrote: IU see the wanna be POM is being quite again lol

It's closer than I expected. I had thought that tonight's game between England and South Africa would decide the semi-finalists.
But with other results in it's not quite so clear cut.
A South Africa win tonight and it's bye bye to England for this World Cup.
A win to England will help, but still not guarantee them a semi-final berth. If England win tonight and win against West Indies on Saturday night then they make the finals. An England win tonight but loss on Saturday night would mean the final top 4 spot would depend on net run rate.
Australia's win last night almost guarantees them the top spot, although a heavy loss to New Zealand Friday night could see us drop to 2nd.
The other semi-finals berth has been claimed by Sri Lanka.

And boy! What a win it was by South Africa.Surandy wrote:A South Africa win tonight and it's bye bye to England for this World Cup.
A workmate was telling me he got up at 5am to watch the last couple of hours of the game only to turn the tv on in time to see one delivery, the one that won South Africa the game. I saw more of the game than he did as I watched the first 11 overs of England's innings.

Not quite at all, just been too busy to look at crap. (including most of the Cricket World Cup)
Oh and unlike many Aussie supporters who after a loss never support their team or country. I still wore my England shirt proudly after we were kicked out.
