Garbutt could achieve something unique this year. Brisbane and Leeds could both be minor premiers - I doubt that's ever been done by one player in the same year before.

Todd Lowrie has signed a one year deal to rejoin his original club Newcastle Knights. Sounds like he will play a similar development role as Clint Newton (so could be playing a bit of NSW Cup).
Speaking of Clint Newton, he announced his retirement at the end of the year during the week. Despite only playing 15 games with the Storm he was one of my favourite players. Will always remember him scoring a try in the Grand Final for Storm. Good luck for retirement Clint.
