Fox Sports is reporting that Glenn Stewart has quit Manly effective at the end of the season to join South Sydney on a two year deal.

How can Souths afford all these players? There's surely got to be an ivestigaaaaation into their finances now!

He didn't quit, his contract was up. Souths are losing Burgess, so i'd imagine they'd have a bit to spend. Stewart is old and not really any good anymore, he wouldn't be on a lot.

I read Souths got Tim Grant from the Panthers to replace Burgess. I wonder if Souths will have to get rid of anyone else no they have Stewart. I have also read Teo wants to go back to Queensland and McQueen was a big pay rise.

Apparently he put in a letter of resignation, that's quitting.

We should have signed him, Adam Blair isn't here anymore and we need some more go-forward in the forwards. Hopefully we get some other player of the same calibre for next year.

Glenn Stewart is getting passed it. His form has dropped off a cliff and he's never healthy. I'd take Adam Blair back though in a heartbeat.

In Manly's destruction of the Raiders Glenn;
* Played 35 minutes
* Made 2 runs
* For 12 metres
* Completed 2 tackles
* Made an error
* Threw an intercept pass

:lol:

Granted he was carrying an injury when he came back on. I hope to see many more similar performances this year and for the rest of his career.
