I have just read that former Storm prop Ben Cross is set to retire at the end of the season due to a series of niggling injuries. As you will no-doubt recall, Cross played in the 2007 triumph and went on to represent NSW whilst at Newcastle before heading to super league where he has represented Leeds, Wigan and now Widnes. His brother, Matt, also played for us in 2009. He has said he wants to go into coaching.
Good luck to Ben for the rest of season and in retirement. He was one of my favourite players the way he kept putting his hand up for work. He is a massive unit.
