AAMI Park has techno turf at it's edges but the playing surface is still natural turf on a sand base. How far away is a truly artificial playing surface & how will it change / enhance the game ???

Widnes Vikings,(who re-enter Super league this season), have a new turf system called I-Pitch at Stobart stadium. it will be interesting to see how it's accepted by them & visiting teams.

Some Q & A
Some early match comments.
I am watching the Widnes V Wakey the I pitch is helping with attacking play but all the players are bleeding from knees and elbows. They will have to have blood transfusions after the game is done.
The players will tell you it does not hurt but I reckon it would sting a little.

Play Rugby league, give blood slogan is more relevant the ever.
