Luke Ricketson is facing a 3 week ban if he is found guilty of his striking charge, and 2 weeks if he pleads guilty. Of course, if they plead guilty and successfully downgrade the charge from Grade 3 to Grade 1, he will receive only 93 points after a 25% discount for an early plea. Whaddya reckon the chances are?

On the other side of the coin, Ricko's likely replacement is almost certainly out of the big game. Why?
Flannery was still in St Vincent's Hospital last night and will have an operation today on a torn testicle he suffered in Sunday's win over North Queensland. He is almost certain to be ruled out of the decider.
Ouch!

I can't say a lot as I didn't see the hit, but I agree with Thunderstruck.

Taken from the NRL website:
"It's a grand final and it's your best mate's last game. I just can't believe something so minor could cost me that.

"I honestly believe a football panel will understand in the first minute of a major semifinal melees occur in rugby league.

"I am sure they will understand that."

The Roosters are expected to show footage of previous incidents this season to support their case, including an altercation between Bulldogs forward Willie Mason and Cowboys five-eighth David Myles three weeks ago.

Brisbane's Tonie Carroll was also found guilty of a grade two striking charge earlier this season while another Bulldog, Steve Price, was cleared of a grade one offence only two weeks ago.

"Yeah, I am confident...based on the actual case we're going to put forward," Stuart said.

"We're going to have a strong case."
I think this little bit
Steve Price, was cleared of a grade one offence only two weeks ago.
