The English Rugby League Challenge Cup final kicks off at midnight on Saturday between between Wigan and Hell FC.

I will be sitting up and cheering for the Pie Eaters for a couple of different reasons.
Firstly, the cod 'eads are playing and there are two English teams I support - Hull Kingston Rovers and whoever is playing Hell FC.
And secondly i'll be having a couple of pints and thinking of our old mate Ratty; cos I'm sure that wherever it is that good rats go he will have found a fence to lean over and watch the game, drink in hand and silly hat on cheering Wigan home.

With Mahe Fonua and Sika Manu playing for Hull FC, I'll be going for them.

And Swain and Kearney both played for them too.

Doesn't matter, I could never support Hell FC. I'd kick my dog if she was black and white.

Super League Grand Final :
Half time Leeds Rhinos 7 (Try: Tom Briscoe Conversion: Kallum Watkins Field Goal: Danny McGuire) lead Castleford Tigers 0

Plenty of Storm influence on this game
Leeds: Mitch Garbutt
Castleford: Jake Webster, Jy Hitchcock, Ben Roberts and Junior Moors

Full time: Leeds Rhinos 24 (Tries: Tom Briscoe 2, Danny McGuire 2, Conversions: Kallum Watkins 3, Field Goals: Danny McGuire 2) defeated Castleford Tigers 6 (Tries: Alex Foster, Conversion: Luke Gale)

Have to feel for Castleford who finished 5 wins clear on top of the table.

Some synergy between Leeds and Storm with half Danny McGuire at 34 in his final game for Leeds before joining Hull KR. Rob Burrow also playing last match for Leeds.

With COVID, I've been watching more and more Super League highlights. I've decided to jump on the Catalans bandwagon, because they are team from the South in a foreign land... kinda like Storm :P

I watched highlights of their game in Barcelona last year at the Camp Nou (home of FC Barcelona), a record regular season Super League crowd of 31,000, but the stadium (capacity 100,000) looked empty haha. Actually was a great atmosphere though, they played the Catalan national anthem before the game and the fans had heaps of Catalonia flags plus a massve INDPENDENCIA banner, very political fans.

If would love to go some Super League games if I ever were to visit England or Perpignan.

Has anyone here every been to an English game?

PS- Bring Back PSG Rugby League!
