Yes! Yes!! Yes!!!

We are getting the game live on Channel Nein!
6:50 am
Channel Nine Melbourne

World Club Challenge Rugby League - Bradford Bulls V Wests Tigers  (130 mins )
Genre: Sport

Live. From the UK. The Bradford Bulls take on the Wests Tigers.
I seem to recall reading that Fox Sports 2 will have the replay at 10am for those that prefer a lie in on a Saturday to watching a game of Rugby League.

Now that the dust has settled some UK fans are asking
"Anyone else disappointed with the WCC?"

Damm Missed it, slept in    :(

seems that to give the WCC any credability both here and in th UK the next one must be played in Australia at the end of the season. Maybe could be used as a marketing game and played outside of traditinal rugby area (i.e here in victoria.)

seems to have lost a lot of the excitment, especially from the earlier contests, widnes v raiders or Wigan v Broncos in brisbane.

did anyone else notice that Marcus wasn't wearing a number 5 on his back?  I thought it was his lucky number, when he was with Melbourne he had either 5 or 55.

I was in bed flicking through the channels and noticed the game was on.

It was the first game I had watched in quite a long time, the thing that surprised me was that Marcus was playing, I didn't even know he was signed to them this year, I've found myself my new SL team.  :)

But yes, I was also surprised with him being no.2

maybe the UK people don't know it's his lucky number although he played pretty well in a 2.

I was there at the match last night.
That was Marcus Bai's debut for Bradford. He battled well throughout the match, made no mistakes and scored two tries. So he must be pleased with the game.

With a crowd of almost 20,000 Huddersfield's Galpharm stadium was a terrific place to be with a great atmosphere. The view I had was better that that I've had at Old Trafford and Elland Road.

Top marks RFL for the organisation and running of the game!

By the way Marcus did well at Leeds Rhinos but seemed to want away.
It was announced he was leaving but not where he was going - if anywhere. All the same it was it was pretty widespread knowledge that he was bradford bound.

Bradford took hold of the game and Wests never really looked like winning. They were surprisingly out muscled and outrun.
Still I enjoyed watching the likes of Scott Prince, Brett Hodgson and Daniel Fitzhenry 'live'.

I took some photographs. I could post a few.

Well played Bradford.

we saw a player in that match who we need to chase, and chase big time - Stuart Fielden.  The man is an absolute freak, and exactly what we need in the forwards for next year and onwards!!!
Storming our way to glory!

He's indicated a desire to play in Australia at some point - so why not for us! He's good enough. Rooster's were reputed to be interested in him if they couldn't have Mozza back - but that looks unlikely as Mozza will probably stay a Rooster.
Fielden said it was still his dream to play in Australia in the countdown to Bradford's World Club Challenge (WCC) clash with Wests Tigers at Huddersfield on Saturday (AEST).
Fielden, 26, has also been linked to the Gold Coast Titans who debut in the NRL next year.
But the Bradford bruiser said a move to Australia wouldn't happen until his Super League contract expired at the end of 2008.
"I'm signed here for two years. After that it's a matter I'll consider down the way," he told England's Sky Sports.
"I really want to play in the NRL but you don't know what will happen in the next two years.
"Obviously it's something I will really look at but we've just got to wait and see."
