I'll post score updates here if no one minds. DO NOT READ BELOW THIS LINE IF YOU DON'T WANT SPOILERS.
End of 1st quarter, USA leads 12-0. Yes, you read it right, USA leads after a forgettable Q1 by the kangaroos. O'Meley, Lockyer, Sing, Cooper, all came very close to scoring only to either get held up or knocks on with clear space to run.
Nathan Smith is the star player for the USA, scoring 1 try off a scott hill intercept, 2 conversions and had 2 line breaks.

Half Time score 24-6 USA. Easy to see which team is taking this game seriously. The only thing roos are doing constantly is dropping the ball and the US keeps the intercepts coming and the defense holding. early on Q2, Mason served a face slap to a US player knocking him down and looked all smug about it, typical of him. Bennett took him off shortly after, along with two other players, though I highly doubt it was related to it.
Matt Peterson looks at home playing 5/8 with Brandon Costin at half. Bowen, Hill, and Lockyer are the worst culprits so far, knocking the ball every chance they got, except for two occasions where Bowen caught a high ball and kept it for the whole tackle and the other where he scored the 65 meter try.
Lockyer likes to kick out on the full too.

Not necessarily fixed, but the Aussies are really taking this game for granted. They're really giving H1 to the US, letting them run around making fools of the tri nations champions.

end of Q3, scores are level at 24 all. AUS stepped up half a gear, kept possession, scored a couple of good tries off set plays helped by the gaping defense left open by the US. Civoniceva is the star of Q3 showing the way for the team making strong runs one after another. US started dropping possessions.

end of Q4 36-24 australia. USA very positive, posting 24 points against the world champions who looked disinterested for half the game.
Peterson, Costin, Nathan Smith, and Jeff Preston were very good for the USA, Nathan Smith especially, with multiple intercepts and strong sideline runs.
Bowen, Civoniceva, Kennedy, and to a certain extent Lockyer were standouts for the australians. mason came off early with a bad ankle after scoring a try.
