Hey guys, not sure if this has been posted up yet, but I've stumbled across a proposed rugby league competition within the US to begin in March 2010.

I wonder if it has the potential to take off!

Lets hope it does take off as this will be the 3rd time in 12 years that they have tried to get a decent comp off the ground.

A US Super League that included teams from 11 teams that included the similar teams nicknames to those here in Australia took place in 1998/99 but failed.

As long as they make the competition professional and not the way it was with armatures it should mean that the teams and players will have enough money to travel for games, which was one of the biggest issues that saw the comp fail last time.

So people don't get the wrong impression, I have no issue with armature sports, but to try and have a national comp and rely on the players to raise the funds to travel across the country for games just isn't going to work.
