This year they won the spoon in the;
- NRL (25% win rate)
- NRLW (18% win rate)
- NSW Cup (25% win rate)
- SG Ball (winless all season)
- Harold Matthews (winless all season)

The Tigers have a massive catchment area, a ton of juniors and cannot win a game of RL footy.

Benji wins them a comp in 05’ but besides that, the joint venture has been a red hot mess.

How long can the franchise sustain these continued results?

The whole place is a stinking mess. One of the worst run clubs in any sporting code in the country; almost certainly the worst in professional sport in Australia.
The two halves of the joint venture hate each other, and one half (Balmain) is constantly almost bankrupt while at the same time rabble rousing to have the other partner kicked out!. The only thing Wests have going for them is a core of die-hard fans who deserve much better. I'm amazed by them - after 24 years of almost constant rubbish they still go faithfully to games and support their players.
We must all hang together or, most assuredly, we shall all hang separately

Yeah it’s pretty incredible that the fans stick with them after what they have dished up. Speaks the the tribal nature that is in the DNA of RL.

I know they lost some Balmain fans and some Western Suburbs fans when they merged, but most stick with them. Then Benji captured the hearts of a new batch. They have just stuck solid with them. Not sure what it is. Parra fans by contrast are so much more fickle.

The fact that after 25 years of infighting, ineptitude and horrific decision after horrific decision, they still pack out Leichhardt and create an amazing atmosphere. The fans deserve so much better.

Dragging this old thread up I find it quite annoying how Lachie Galvin has crapped all over the club.

Shane Richardson is a very good and strong administrator, they have managed to bring some good players to the club and looked to have been improving.

It is really disappointing that the club didn't pull together (and I didn't watch the game) and beat the pants off Parramatta, Lachie's next club, the club that didn't want him a a junior.

Is this a failing of the coach?, I dunno.
I will say, I don't think favourite sons ever make great coaches of their old clubs.

Where too from here for the Tigers? Bunker down and pull together or do the Tigers thing and eat themselves alive.

Must be very disillusioning for the rusted on faithful, hell, I find it disillusioning for an old Magpies sympathiser without any real great connection

The problem in the whole Galvin mess is Isaac Moses.

Well, we face the might of the Tigers this week and to be brutally honest, the Tigers have been fortunate in their victories. To me at least, the light at the end of the Tigers tunnel is as far away as ever and we should get them comfortably.
