Looking on zerotackle.com, it looks like we have 10 players still unsigned anywhere on our current roster:

Matt Duffie, Mahe Fonua, Tim Glasby, Ben Hampton, Hymel Hunt, Felise Kaufusi, Richard Kennar, Ben Roberts, Joel Romelo, George Rose

Only 5 of those are 'top 25' list players:

Duffie, Fonua, Glasby, Hampton and Rose

With the signing of Blake Green and the almost certain upgrading of Kurt Mann, I think that means that there are 5 top tier contracts available for players to either be upgraded or signed to.

Here is how our roster is shaping up:

Top 25

1.Jesse Bromwich (2018)
2.Kenny Bromwich (2016)
3.Will Chambers (2017)
4.Cooper Cronk (2016)
5.Mitch Garbutt (2015)
6.Blake Green (2016)
7.Slade Griffin (2016)
8.Tohu Harris (2017)
9.Ryan Hinchcliffe (2016)
10.Kurt Mann (2015)
11.Jordan McLean (2016)
12.Bryan Norrie (2015)
13.Justin O'Neill (2016)
14.Kevin Proctor (2018)
15.Travis Robinson (2015)
16.Billy Slater (2015)
17.Cameron Smith (2018)
18.Young Tonumaipeia (2016)
19.Sisa Waqa (2015)
20.Dayne Weston (2015)
21.Cameron Munster (2017)?
22.?
23.?
24.?
25.?

2nd Tier:
26.Dean Britt?
27.Suliasi Vunivalu?
28.Christian Welch?
29.
30.
31.
32.
33.

I guess Munster goes to our top 25 but I'm not sure as his situation was a bit odd being signed and then re-signed before playing even a practice game.

Garbutt, is still on contract according to this site.

Of those off contract, I can see Fonua and Hampton being re-signed and Roberts being upgraded.

Rose will probably go.

Glasby - Dunno.

Duffie - Might get a year if he's willing.

Hunt, Kaufusi, Kennar and Romelo all have upside so I can see any and all of them being retained.

I don't see us keeping both Hampton/Roberts with us already signing Green. Big few weeks ahead to decide which one to keep. Hopefully they make the right choice.

Garbutt and Rose will go back to NSW. I think we give Duffie one more chance to stay healthy (although I wouldn't be shocked either way). Keep Glasby hopefully. Would also be surprised to see us let Hunt and Kaufusi go after one season after talking them up as our future when we signed them. Romelo will be re-signed too because of his utility value.

Still cannot believe we extended Slade Griffin.

Fonua, Hunt and Kaufusi are must re-signs, in my opinion.

Wouldn't be re-signing Duffie, Glasby, Hampton, Romelo or Rose. Would have Roberts and Kennar back if it was for small coin.

We will resign Kennar. Local junior with big wraps, they will keep him in the system

I think a key requirement is having 3 or 4 halves in our top 25 as I can see us being forced to play Hampton this year due to the 2nd tier cap situation whether he's deserving of a game or not.

From reports it looks like Brisbane are very confident of getting Cherry Evans for a million a year and given talk he's not the most popular amongst the playing group at the scum it would seem he'll move on after next season. They're saying that it'll leave little money to offer Ben Hunt a contract and while i know this is a thread for next year (Hunt is out of contract at the start of 2016) do you think we should target him if we have the funds? He'll only just turn 26 around the start of that season and i reckon there's many worse going around than him.

Coops will be 32 at the same stage and will have that year to run on his contract so at the very least it's something to look into as i'm sure the club will.

So with this talk of signing Koroibete, I guess that probably mean Duffie won't be re-signed. I can't see us having that many wings in our top 25.

As I see it we have:

Fullbacks:
K.Mann, B.Slater, C.Munster
Wings:
J.O'Neill, T.Robinson, Y.Tonumaipeia, S.Waqa
Centres:
W.Chambers
Five Eighths:
B.Green
Halfbacks:
C.Cronk
Props:
J.Bromwich, M.Garbutt, J.McLean, B.Norrie, D.Weston
Hookers:
S.Griffin, C.Smith
Second Rowers:
T.Harris, K.Proctor
Locks:
K.Bromwich, R.Hinchcliffe

Even assuming Mann plays Centre, that still has us with 2 centres and 5 wings with Koroibete so I can't see us signing a 6th in Duffie to that position.

Too true, Matt. Him and Duffie are a couple of fragile things.

O'Neill is a quality winger and mediocre centre.
