I liked Lewis but I can't help but feeling he's on the outer with management. I reckon he offers a bit more than some others. (Armchair expert!)

His days were numbered since the cocaine scandal

Tend to agree, although both Brandon and Cam have secured massive deals since.

Yeah that’s the cost of not being a Star when you do the wrong thing!

That and he's supposedly the one who got the drugs, plus he's a little older and being a school teacher on top was not a good look either.

The upgrade of Lewis to Pene is massive. Also as I am a huge NAS fan it is always helpful having his close friend return to the team.

The way the game is going itl he standard practice to hold 3 forwards and a half on the bench, itl be Jonah or Nikorama I'd hope.

The only benefit of having Lewis was that he could fill in the halves without causing too much trouble if need be.

I'd think Wishart over Nikorima or Pezet, at least to begin with

Star or no star it didn't hurt Jesse. Or was it not that similar?

Jesse got a two game suspension, gave up NZ captaincy and stood down from the Storm leadership group.

More punishment than all three players got.

And was the team more effective when he was (supposedly) out of the leadership group?

I was a bit sour with the amount of outs this season. Some good, some bad.

But I’ve arrived at the conclusion that I think our signings combined with the return of injured players completely trumps the losses.

A lot of next season will depend on the forward pack, but I think it can work. The back seven is as good as any teams.

Great news about Pene, he'll be vying for the last spot on the bench with Jordan and Tepai.

Still weirded out by the 30 players though. Is someone going to be released? To be near family?
