I've got a feeling any agreement will say he can't play round 1 against Parramatta
Remember this day, men, for it will be yours for all time
yep, your probably right ss- but boy.... in the sole interest of generating interest and hype and being good for the game in general it would sure be a great outcome I bet the NRL would love to happen if he played. Would become match of the round easy, never mind bris v panths.Storm Spirit wrote: ↑Mon Mar 02, 2026 3:21 pmI've got a feeling any agreement will say he can't play round 1 against Parramatta
In some ways if Parra are fair dinkum with the way they are going about rebuilding, it would be a hell of a statement from them to say 'fine.... play him, we'll spank ya's in your backyard anyway'. That's what I'd be doing if I was at Parra. Not sure on the message it sends to their squad if they think they can't win because we have lomax all of a sudden.
Blores definitely injured, pretty sure Howarth is, Meaney i'm pretty sure is locked right edge with warbrick and chan and good to go.
You wouldn't think they would throw lomax in at left centre this week with no training; wing or bench might be possible but maybe storm would just give him the week off to settle in after everything irrespective which might be for the best despite how down we are on troops. Will be interesting to see if it ends up happening whether we throw him straight in or wait until he's moved to melb, settled in, and had a few weeks training etc. Team lists tomorrow going to be interesting to see if he makes it. I wouldn't be surprised to see him in 20/21 but I don't know if it can all get done in time with registering contracts etc. by tomorrow arvo. Talk about last minute. Might even see storm asking for an exemption to add him after initial team lists given the circumstances.

Bellamy won’t play him without a good week of training at least. Lomax also needs some match practice so I almost hope he gets a reserve game first…

WOW....as being reported, Ryan Matterson appears to have refused to play for Storm, which has then blocked the Lomax move.

Pays legal fees for Zac and eels and eels still have the to give permission to Zac to play for 2 years ….he isn’t coming to storm I won’t be surprised when Zacy ends up at a Sydney club when eels give him permission to go anywhere but storm

It obviously takes a lot to top the shitness of the salary cap saga. And this doesn't top it. But, through unforeseen and unreplaced retirements, the loss of several senior players to other clubs, serious injuries, the failure to sign at least 2 major recruitment targets and this entire stupid episode, this off-season could hardly have been worse.
What is actually going on?! Something has changed, this is all so unStorm-like.

Paid $250,000 to the Eels plus paid Lomax"s legal fees. What do we get out of the settlement? Zip.riders of the storm wrote: ↑Tue Mar 03, 2026 11:26 amAgreed. Club just paid $250,000 so this guy could sit out two years instead of three.
As Lucas said "an absolute embarrasment."
