I know it's not in the interest of the game... but I don't care. The scum have the worse fans of any sporting club I have ever seen.
But it ain't happening unfortunately.

I'd just like to see the 40-0 removed from the books

I thought they removed the premiers and result, leaving just an asterisk??
Meaning the record books (sadly!!!!) would read:
07: *
08: *
09: *
10: St George-Illawarra whatever the score was
11: *
12: Melbourne Storm 14-4

For what it's worth, in the official NRL season guide, they don't use an asterisk for the 2007 and 2009 premierships - it has our name and then "(Withdrawn)" next to it. I prefer that - it's not as harsh as "stripped". The only asterisk we have next to our name is on the table for 2010 (explaining the zero points despite having 14 wins). Also, on the trophy, I believe the engraved badges for 2007 and 2009 have been replaced with "premiership withdrawn".
I had a thought about all these investigations going on. Imagine if David Gallop was still in charge. How would he have handled everything? Poorly, obviously. I think Dave Smith is doing a good job - not just with the ASADA issues but in general. He's positive, he's dedicated to growing the game, he's open to the idea of expansion, he's making the AFL a bit nervous - everything. He's the leader the NRL has needed for years.
