Can't say i'm overly scared at all to be honest. Most of those blokes haven't played first grade yet, we'll keep the ones that we want and cut the ones we don't. A few of the others Ryles. Finch, Norrie etc) will retire anyway regardless and the other few are new signings (Moors, Sau, Setu) we did so for one year to see if they cut the mustard. If they don't they leave and if so they stay.

We've been following the game long enough to know we can't keep them all and there's gonna be another decent sized turnover at the end of the season, but as mentioned we'll only let go the ones we want to and possibly might lose one or two as every club does each year that we wanted to keep.

My comment was more to do with the number off contract at the same time rather than the players themselves. 19 players seems very high. Unless fringe players are commonly kept on very short term contracts?

Which is exactly what often does happen, some of them may well have an option for another year in their contracts too

Another way t look at it is we will have a lot of money to spend if we wish having the core locked in also id belly leaves the new coach has the room to get the players he would like.

Now that Bellers is signed up, Widdop is the priority. Gotta get the extra year (or more) activated.

The rest are fringe players, their performances will dictate if they stay or not. None are irreplaceable. Although we should definitely be eager to sign up Fonua for obvious reasons.

Widdop is the priority I agree but the player I want to see retained is Vave.

+1 Hope to see Widdop re-signed soon but would love to see Vave re-signed as well. He always looks energetic and hungry when he comes on to the field. I`m hoping he has a really big year this year :-D

Vave was hampered quite a bit last season. Would love him to get a real good year under his belt!

I've been saying it since round one last year: he's a taller, streamlined Jeff Lima.

Played week one of the finals against lol@5ouff$ and didn't feature in week 3 or the GF. Was he injured or just out of form?

Vave was dropped to NSW Cup in the middle of the year (I think possibly to give him a bit more game time) and injured his foot or ankle if I remember correctly in his first NSW Cup match. His first match back from injury was in week one of the finals. Vave (and Fa'aoso) came in as late replacements for Manu and Ryles. When Manu came back for week 3 Vave dropped out.
