They are off contract at the end of this year, the team i listed is CONFIRMED players under contract in 2014, was that not obvious?blazza18 wrote:Did we kick Fonua and Sisa off the team or something ?1999 wrote:So at the moment our 2014 team looks like this:

Mahe Fonua and Sisa Waqa must both be given new contracts with the club. Fonua as we need to use him as an example for fellow Victorians to follow in his footsteps and Sisa Waqa because he's a super player and his game is always improving.
Agree, Sisa and Mahe definatly need to be re-signed. Also of the rest of the off contract Storm players i would be trying to keep Griffin, Solamona, Norrie, Moors, Setu, McLean, Vave and Blair, I think Finch will either retire or move on, Ryles will retire, Garbutt has had a chance and hasnt really taken it ditto Sau. Kenny B i havnt seen enough of to comment. I think guys like Lodge, Pride Petterson-Robati, Richie Kennar and Matty McGahn will get a spot in the 25 man fulltime squad for 2014, I feel we may still need an experienced prop to fill Ryles Shoes, i'd love to snare Lama Tasi, kid is killin it for the jets and the roosters seem to not be interested in giving him a crack.

I was thinking jarrod hickey, seen him play on the weekend for the cutters (nsw cup) n he did a real good job.. he would be cheap cos he doesn't have a nrl contact atm n his a big boy 21999 wrote:I feel we may still need an experienced prop to fill Ryles Shoes, i'd love to snare Lama Tasi, kid is killin it for the jets and the roosters seem to not be interested in giving him a crack.
I reckon Craig should consider bringing Antonio Kaufusi back to the club - he's been killing it in the Super League.
And I agree, Tasi is someone who we should seriously pursue.
A couple other big men that we should have a look at recruiting are - Lesson Ah Mau, Jack Bosden, Sam Lousi and Luke Page.

Don't be surprised to see a massive twist in the Todd Carney saga, with the Storm set to make a play for the Sharks star. With Carney’s Sharks deal in limbo as the ASADA investigation drags on, the Storm are considering making a late bid for his services. After Gareth Widdop’s departure to the Dragons next season, the Storm have a vacancy at number six – and cash to spend. Carney is believed to be open to approaches from the Storm. The star pivot has won a Dally M Medal, played Origin football and played in a grand final. But he has yet to win a title – and knows his best chance will be under Craig Bellamy at the Storm.
