Not great reading. Lowrie needs to go.

I agree Lowrie needs to go, not a big fan.

But Bailey is a different type of front rower to the ones we have. He has played origin, he is captain of his side, he is an old fashioned workhorse and he is the one of a couple of good players the Titains have.

we had a bailey type player.... he then signed with the bulldogs. i think johnson and kite will be very good for us in the coming years if we keep them.
lowrie is still in because he knows how the team operates, but vea must be closing in on him after every match

Tolman was such a big loss. DJ is playing great at NQ too.
Even Jeff Lima was a hard worker, not many Islander props come under that category. He was very disciplined too just like Tolman who rarely made mistakes.

Bromwiche will obviously become a top prop given a bit of time. Proctor is slowly getting there.
Lowe has been the biggest dissapointment for me, I just think he's not good enough to be in the team. Troy Thompson at least is reliable in defense.

And yet we made mincemeat of the dogs tonight. Go figure.
We must all hang together or, most assuredly, we shall all hang separately

Vea and Woolnough were great additions. Lowrie's on borrowed time until Sika's back.

Norrie was top notch tonight and Woolnough was surprisingly good!

I have had a theory on Bromwich that if he holds the ball in his first hit up, he will fire.
Tonight he did that - i've been a fan of him since watching him in the under 20s - good to see him deliver in first grade tonight!

every 'big' forward pack storm come up against the forwards dominate, first was manly and now the doggies, then the backs can have the space they need. i underestimated the pack in the pre season, and so did the rest of the comp by the looks of it

From the original post, Todd Lowrie doesn't size up to his teams badly. Good amount of tackles, good amount of runs per metres and good amount of metres per run.

Perhaps copping some unwarranted negative comments by some fans.

i give him a hard time on here because to me he doesnt look hungry on the field, i think a week or 2 in NSW/QLD cup might turn that around and make him go harder than what he has been

Oh I agree, I'm one who has been critical of Lowrie. But his numbers aren't as bad as I thought.

Just think how far our pack has come in the last 5 years. I cringe at the thought of the days when Kirk Reynoldson was running around.
