According to the Herald Sun this morning.
"MELBOURNE is today expected to announce a three-year extension of its sponsorship deal with Jayco, which has increased its commitment to the club and will become shorts sponsor."

Its a bit odd they're announcing this after two rounds of footy with the Jayco name clearly visible on the shorts.
Why did they not announce it prior to round 1 or even round 2?

I 101% agree. Unless it blends in as well as 'Hyundai' does on the Tigers jersey, Id rather the jersey stay as is. Looks nice & clean atm, much classier than some of the others...onlooker wrote:No thanks, i love the clean back of the jersey.absentee wrote:Can we have a back sponsor now please?

+2 for surnames
This works well in Super League, though squad numbers are allocated to a player not a position as they are in the NRL.
Just how much could the club expect to earn for rear jersey sponsorship ?

Always carry a flagon of whiskey in case of snakebite and furthermore always carry a small snake - WC Fields
More then they can from short sponsors.Bourbon Rat wrote:+2 for surnames

I'm pretty sure from memory that the club said they saved something like 50k a year by not putting names on jersey's because of positional changes.
Looks good, but can't see it happening any time soon
