Sorry Sally but we ain't all twits.Just as many are NOT addicted to facebook & other 'social networking' sites.
I realise our new CEO is a tech head but if the club is only communicating via those means then they are going to miss a LOT of people :?
Hell I know members that don't even use the internet

What a bunch of girls.

What side cancelled the game?
There's a Storm brewing in Melbourne and it's forecast to hit Sydney on October 2

From Storm website

"The annual cricket match between the NRL and AFL clubs was due to be played at King’s Park Reserve in St Albans from 2pm, but after consultation between the two clubs it was decided the welfare of the players was paramount, with pre-season games for the Storm only a fortnight away.

Both the Storm and Bulldogs wish to apologies for any inconvenience caused."

Were you there last year??
Didn't quite hit 40 but it was bloody bad enough! Bugger all shade, drinks get warm within 5min so struggle to cool down, sunburn AND windburn no matter how much protection you had..
Yep a bunch of girls alright :?

Was hoping it was only post-poned but oh well, there's always next year

St Albans sportsmen pad up before Storm

ST Albans cricket and football heavyweights are set to match up against the Melbourne Storm.

The annual Battle of the Codes Twenty20 cricket match returns to Kings Park this Friday, with St Albans cricket and football clubs joining forces to take on some of the Storm’s finest batters and bowlers.

St Albans Sports Club is organising the game on behalf of the clubs.

Sports club general manager Des Barnard said memberships and merchandise would be on sale, with parking available in the reserve.

“Pretty much everyone from the Storm who is available is coming along, with the idea that people can mingle,” he said. “It is very much going to be a family friendly atmosphere.”

Entry to the cricket match is free and includes facepainting, while the $2 parking fee will go back to the local clubs.

The Battle of the Codes Twenty20 kicks off this Friday, January 13, from 6pm at Kings Park Reserve, 96A Gillespie Rd. Details: St Albans Sports Club on 9367 5956.

The St Albans twilight gift, traditionally run on the same weekend, is being held the week after, next Saturday, January 21, from 5pm. For more details see next week’s Brimbank Leader

How did it go Sally?

I wouldn't have been able to get there until about 9pm, disappointed it was not held at the weekend, when more people would have had a chance to get there.

Yeah they boys did well
Matt duffie is a bad hitter but fantastic fielding haha all that catching on the wing he caught out 1 and caught a second but it was a no ball then he got a wicket bowling
Gareth widdop was good with the bat he was in the middle for a while
Shea moylan got a hattrick and a couple of runs
Ben hamton nearly won the game for us in the end
Luke kelly great fields man amazing dives to stop a couple of 4s got a couple of runs with the bat then got Hinch run out when they both end up at the same end haha
Hinchy and Hoffy just make great footballers although hinchy was wicketkeeper and stumped a batter out
Then we had the admin and coaches
Frank barrett good bowler and got a few runs
Son of Craig haha Aaron Bellamy out for a duck
And craig Sultana got runs got wickets bowled well and was pretty much everywhere

I think frank barrett said that the score sheet might go on the website next week but im not sure

Sallymay I thought the final score was:

Them 11/144
Storm 12/144

They started fast and finished slow and we started slow and finished fast
