It's a terrible draw, but bring it on in 2011.

A draw is a draw.

Always has god and bad.

4 home games in the last half of the year is a bit rich though.

That suits me fine as I won't have foxtel for the early part of 2011.
Helped my cause when Mum threatened either the foxtel or internet goes.. She couldn't stand the idea of missing games :-D

Definitely going to need another job to save up for some away games me thinks!

The Sydney media were beating it up saying we had a dream start to the new season, but no mention of the shit run at finals time.

Either way I'll be there and I'm sure it won't make a bit of difference to the team.
Bring it!!!!!!!!!!

Ive already seen the game, ill do a report

Manly win the toss and elect to kick

1st minute,Slater knocks on the kickoff,line dropout

2nd minute G Stewart hit and spin try, just off centre

4th minute,Conversion Lyon
Scoreline 6-0

8th minute,Slater makes a break and gets chopped down 5
out by D Williams from the manly line, they hold them out
and Cronk dribbles in a grubber, barely going out shadowed
by B Stewart, cooler than the other side of the pillow

12 minute,4th tackle 60 metres out from the manly line,Watmough
makes a break up the middle and an inside pass to DCE who feigns
to take on Slater, throws a flickpass up to Stewart who runs in under
the post

14th minute Conversion Lyon
Scoreline 12-0

18th minute 10metres out from their own line Cronk flick pass to Slater on the
inside,Slater carves up the middle and D Williams begins persuit,Slater 1 on 1 with
Stewart,Slater steps Stewart but gets hammered by a flying D Williams,Refferee
calls for a decision on the try,It appears that Slater has grounded the ball on the
right hand in touch in goal line,No try

20th Minute Manly back on the attack inside the melbourne 20,Foran does a cutout
to Whare who hands off to Robertson,Slater slides and this time kicks Robertsons
face,a fight erupts and Slater finds himself knocked out and sent off,the knockout
blow was delivered by King who gets 10 in the bin,Penalty try

Missed conversion 16-0

22nd minute,Watmough knocks on 20metres out from his own line,Smith swings one
to Manu who hands off to Widdop who scores in the left hand corner

Conversion missed 16-4

32nd Minute,King runs over Hinchcliff and passes to Rodney,5 metres out who hits the
defensive line and spins,Referee refers to video ref,Momentum is said to have pushed
him across the line,Try 5 metres left of the posts

Conversion Lyon 22-4

40th Minute,All in brawl breaks out when Blair goes high on G Stewart,it takes the ref
3 minutes to break it up,Manly takes the tap and kicks the ball out bringing about halftime

44th Minute,Lowrie is ruled to have touched the defensive line as a decoy runner in a try
scored by Manu,Disallowed

50th Minute,Cunningham hits the defensive line and keeps pumping brought down 1 metre
from the melbourne line,Ballin dummies left and dives right,on video ref referal is disallowed
due to Ballin hitting the leg of Cunningham

52nd minute,Cronk inside to Widdop who gets hammered by Watmough and knocks on,scrum
to be fed 20 metres from the manly line

58th minute, after a few sets of what can only be described as arm wrestling,DCE chips on
the 4th tackle to D Williams, who gets cut down agonisingly close by Widdop, quick play the
ball and B Stewart with no defenders near him scores in the right hand corner

Conversion Missed

Scoreline 26-4

64th Minute,Manly seem to have won the arm wrestle but it comes undone by a Smith 40-20
kick from dummy half,O'neil scores in the corner from the scrum win

Conversion successful by Smith

Scoreline 26-10

70th Minute,Ballin to Watmough who passes inside to G Stewart across the ruck,G Stewart passes
as he hits the line to Whare, who upon reaching Widdop passes inside to B Stewart who scores
untouched under the posts

Lyon Converts

Scoreline 32 - 10

78th Minute

Manly on the attack looking ominous when Smith hits Kite high,a fight breaks out 5 metres from the
melbourne line,in the media the fight itself is seen as a draw on points but a loss for fans, due to the
refs calling off the rest of the game after being unable to contain the violence

in the aftermath of this game,Manly lose T Williams,Cunningham and Seu Seu for 3 weeks a peice
all for striking as well as Rodney for 2 weeks for whats called a *Crusher* tackle,it leaves manly
predictably fuming

Melbourne lose Smith for 2 for the high shot,Slater for 5 as a repeat offender (Contrary conduct) and
Manu for a dangerous throw for 1 week

Verbal warfare stays alive till round 25,taking potshots at eachother for the entirety of the season
The game in round 25 is seen as the most brutal peice of australian sport in the history of the country

No suspensions are reported but both teams lose a Kite for 2 weeks due to injury

A little light fantasy

About as plausible as St Merge taking out the WCC in February ;)

Rnd 1 - Neither Storm or Manly will field what will eventually become their 'starting side' for most of the season & the game will go for 80 minutes.

I hope those feral Manly fans who came down for last year's finals come down for round one. That was interesting.
