Remember the days of the Storm Supporters bus trips?

Started in 1999, the Storm Supporters bus trips saw the club develop amazing coverage by the small band of people every other weekend jump on a bus with strangers that all had one thing in common, their love of Melbourne Storm.

In those days, players like Robbie Ross, Russell Bawden, Paul Bell, Aaron Moule, Craig Smith, Ben Roarty, Tony Martin, Matt Geyer, Robbie Kearns and Marcus Bai all set the bench mark of the players apperication of those dedicated supporters by not only showing their apperication after the game (win, lose or draw) but developed many friendship with those supporters.

Well, an opportunity has araised to sort of re-live those days, to have a Supporters Bus trip and to see some of those players play again, YES including Marcus (he is coming out of retirement and has confirmed for this match)

The game is due early March 2011 and if enough interest is shown the development of a trip package would be put together.......

The package would include, return bus travel, accommodation and game ticket.

Oh, pass this poll on to others as well. (poll open for 60 days)

Yes but when & where would the bus be travelling to in NSW?
Hard to make plans when we don't know the fixture yet.

Tigger, early March (more than likely the first weekend) so the evening of the 5th, I believe.

I've been asked to see if there is interest in getting a supporters bus together, the game would be in south west NSW from my understanding, Wagga, Hay, or Griffith.

I have been told that Marcus has confirmed that he is a starter for this game and it has taken a lot to get him to come out of retirement for this game.

Maybe the train or fly as an option but I guess that depends
on where it is...

Is this a get together of past greats or a trial match or a ?????????????????????

Stormfront, Charity match made up of past greats from a number of clubs.

One of the confirmed players has made contact to see if there is an interest from supporters to do a fun bus trip to see some past greats and some Storm originals, including Marcus.

I've indicated to him that I would see what interest was there while confirmation and planning of the match was being done.
And considering that in a few weeks many may focus on other things and not Storm (shame on them ;) ) while planning was still being done.

It couldn't have taken that much - he played up here on the Sunshine Coast early in the year in a legends game, so I'm guessing he doesn't mind these sorts of events.

One of the guys we sit will had a story about this game from the Hay local paper.  It is on March 5 and it is in Hay NSW and Marcus is playing.  Matt Geyer and Robbie Kearns are thinking about playing.

I think the purpose of this thread is to see who would be interested in a " bus trip" not flying ao taking the train,to rekindle the bus trips we used to enjoy so much

You think.... ? Would never have guessed ?
So I guess others can not make suggestions along the way to
support and promote the weekend?

Given I helped and did arrange a few of the trips - I do get the
concept of reliving the old road trips.... but given age and time
some alternatives might be more suited to others.
