Blair to Bulldogs?
Bulldogs on hunt for Adam Blair
Josh Massoud and James Phelps
From: The Daily Telegraph May 28, 2010 12:00AM
A WEEK after securing Aiden Tolman, the Bulldogs continue to eye the Melbourne Storm for reinforcements and have now targeted Kiwi back-rower Adam Blair as their next recruit from Bleak City. The loss of Willie Mason, Mark O'Meley, Sonny Bill Williams, Roy Asotasi and Greg Eastwood has eroded Canterbury's traditionally aggressive edge up front, and officials see Blair as a perfect vessel to restore that reputation.Footy Confidential understands Blair is on a modest contract - which expires at the end of 2011 - and could earn much more should under-pressure Storm officials agree to give him an early release to ease their salary cap problems.

We were probably looking at losing Blair at the end of 2011 anyway,
He isn't on a rock bottom contract, probably middle range , but his status has risen, and clubs will be willing to pay him alot more than what he is currently earning .

Storm would be playing with a roster worth about 700k instead of 4.3million.

ps...FWIW...I reckon that Coops, Smithy, Bill and GI would rather cut off their left nut and send it to Gallop in an envelope before playing for another NRL team against THEIR Melbourne Storm

i dont believe any of it, it just hurts reading it, the thought of us getting broken up and sold to the highest bidder is devastating, i dont think we will lose billy GI cronk or cam, but those other mid range players like blair, manu etc are gonna get some massive offers to good to refuse i think

What makes me laugh is the fact that all those supporters of other nrl clubs are bagging players like Inglis and Slater over the salary cap issues, yet they want the same said players playing for their clubs
