I'm sure most players from opposition clubs support the Storm in this tough situation, however I doubt anyone has expressed there feelings quite like Benji Marshall did today.

He is hardly an overrated hack.  Injury prone yes.  Good on ya Benji, the most sensible thing I have read all week.

I think this year he has really gone up another level. I think most players would be supportive.

I hope Benji becomes a member and joins the club and is not just making noises about it.

However, I am glad he came out with his views, because they are correct and good on him.

Yeah, go ahead, stick the boot in to Marshall. You can go ahead and call him over-rated. I disagree.
He's working hard to get more consistent, and it's starting to happen. Kids love him and respect his words.
He's had 5 (yes FIVE) shoulder reconstruction procedures between 2005 and 2008. That would play on anyones mind, and I for one think it shows just how tough he is to come back again and again. That's the thing that makes him a role model to children in my eyes. He never blamed anyone but accepted such bad luck, acting like a role model should - by example. Cameron Smith has done enough in the last week to write a book about it as well.
Take support and sympathy wherever you can get it. You need it, and Storm fans deserve it to an extent.

(Not that it would make any difference to Gallop and co - They just won't change their minds even though everyone knows they're wrong re: 2010 season. Shed $700 000 from the cap. Game on.)
