Any strange selections or snubs. With Tony Adam coaching it is differently more a NSW Cup trial I think.

I make it 12 from NRL squad, 3 under 20's and 6 NSW Cup players (with Bryan Norrie).

Based on this you would think that Jess Bromwich, Justin O'Neill, Dane Chisholm and Kevin Proctor are already confirmed for London along with regulars Finch, Hinchcliffe, Hoffman, Lima, Laurie, Neilson and Tolman.  Cronk, Kite, Manu, Stanley, White and Vea not considered due to injury.  Blair, Inglis (out injured), Slater and C. Smith with All-Stars.

So looking at that list , fair to say Blair, Bromwich, Chisholm  Finch, Hichcliffe, Hoffman, Inglis, Lima, Lowrie, Nielsen, Proctor, Slater, Smith and Tolman are already down to go to England.

Unsure of the Status of Sika Manu and Justin O'Neill in regards to injuries.

Damn you Bootsie stealing my thunder  :D.

Thanks Sally, saw The Real Deal doing laps at traing a few weeks ago so must be a lingering ailment.

Also interesting that Dane Chisholm has gone past Widdop and Kelly in the pecking order if he has already booked a place.

anderson will play
Premiership-winning prop Ryan Tandy and former State of Origin winger Anthony Quinn have today been named in a 21-man Melbourne Storm squad to face Brisbane Broncos - and former teammate Scott Anderson (pictured)

id say hes not listed in the first 17 because they would be focusing mainly on players who havent had the same oppertunities as ando

G'day everyone... must admit I've barely heard of Matt Duffie yet I see his name on the wing for round 1 in a lot of predicted lineups.

Can anyone give me the lowdown on why that is? I would've thought Dane Chisholm was a bigger shot at first grade than Duffie - as ddin't Chisholm play in the centres at times last year?

Cheers for any info.

Nothing between potential wise but I think they want to give Dane time in NSW cup at 6 rather then play him on the wing, to get him ready for next year.

Plus Duffie is 192cm & 95 kg to Danes 176cm & 84 kg , has great speed (granted not quite as quick as dane) and most importantly his leap is the equal of Issy Folau.

Reading this morning though that Quinny has 1 wing spot sewn up, Duff will only get the other if Danger Nielsen moves to center (which is the option I prefer)

I wanna see both play and think Chisholm is probably slightly better and can fill in at 5/8 (IIRC)...but the chance to be able to say Matt "the duffman" duffie...or if he gets injured "duff man is down"...is too good a thing to pass up.
