we signed another player!
No that was Ben, who had played with us in 2004. Luke is Adam and Ben's younger brother. Luke came back from injury mid-season and couldn't get a run from (or a word out of) Brian Smith at the Knights and was running around at Lakes United.nacho wrote: is he the one we signed up 2 years ago but he messed up his knee and was out the whole season?
Luke has played approx. 60 games for Cronulla, Souths, Dragons and Knights and will be 28 years of age at the start of next season.
To answer Bullets question, why? Because we have lost Turner, Tomane, Chambers and B Anderson and we have only signed Stanley plus a couple of under 20s. So we need an experienced outside back to add to our depth.
There is a reason he couldn't get a run.
60 games for 4 teams at 28 is not that crash hot. Im not against this by the way, just a bit surprising considering he's someone who doesn't consistantly play and we have the under 20's boys from this year ready to impress in first grade. He's really gonna have to step up if he is going to taste first grade next season.

Spot on. As soon as i read it i thought back to his Souths form which i thought was very good. He could prove to be a very astute pick up and i'm pretty happy about it's if true. We'd have paid a pittance for him given he was park footy so what do we have to lose? Nothing, but there's plenty to gain and under our system i think he'll thrive. But again if he doesn't it's no big deal, we'll be losing nothing and i dare say he'd only be on an incentive based contract anyway.simo wrote: Ive watched him play heaps when he was at Souths..
He's a really good pickup IMO.
Bellamy will have him rippin.
Good size about him.. he was producing some good form at the rabbits a couple seasons ago.
Good Solid buy.

There is no other team in the NRL with the ability Melbourne has to resurrect a player from the scrapheap.Joe_Storm_FB_2025 wrote:Matt King, Ryan Tandy, Brett White, Jeff Lima....... Need I go on????Bullets wrote: There is a reason he couldn't get a run.

I'm not sure why they wouldn't but if people haven't realized that by now they never will. We've had much more successes than failures in that respect.
