What a game that was ..... Awesome effort that must have rubbed off onto the senior guys prior to the big game.

Kudos to the forward whos shoulder was dislocated in the last 10 minutes (was it  Rogers?)  I had the sports ears in and you could hear the pain he was in, but refused to leave the ground .... As the trainer was trying to pop it back in he was in agony

As always seems to be our way, the detractors will focus on a coroversial call late in the game (has any Storm team ever won the decider any other way???) ...  but the fact is, you make your own luck, and history is written by the victors.

Looking forward to some of these guys get their chance in first grade, things look great for the future

I remember that dislocated shoulder.  It was our 13.  We should have a good replacement for Dallas in a few years if he sticks around, with balls like that.

Regrettably, my flight didn't arrive in Sydney until 2pm, so I didn't get to see any of it.
Great win by the boys. We really are a success story.
2012 premiers. Legit.

Yeah - awesome effort.

Unbelievably - if they were prematurely predicting a 'dynasty' for the Storm back in 2006 - we are arguably better positioned now - and entering a further 'dynasty'.

We will provide an ever stronger team next year - including some of these young guns from the 'bolts.  Widdup, Chisolm, Kelly, Bromwich and co.  are stars in the making.

Couple them with quality signings of Chase Stanley and co.  and the future looks bright.

Not to forget the under 18's as well ... and with the bolts being relocated from the Central Coast to Melbourne at last we can say goodbye to this northern feeder club mentality (though it has done well for us in the past).... and show what some home-grown talent can do.

Could be a double edged-sword that.

One of the real keys to our success has been that we have to search for our talent, thus enabling us to cherry-pick the most promising juniors. I want to see Victorian players in the team but lets be careful we dont throw the baby out with the bathwater.

We still get to choose from wherever we want, but now we can bring the guys straight to Melbourne.  I'm sure nobody will stick a vic in just for the sake of being a victorian ... everyone gets in on their merits, but now there is a local system to feed from juniors into the senior side in Melbourne.
