The lineup for Australia's greatest Athlete is as follows;
Billy Slater - NRL, Melbourne Storm
Brett Deledio - AFL, Richmond Tigers
Steve Hooker - Olympic Gold Medal Pole Vault
Lote Tuqiri - ARU
Andrew Symonds - Cricket
Jamie Whincup - V8 Supercars
Joel Griffiths - Soccer
Ky Hurst - Champion Ironman

Word is the athletes will undertake challenges in the disciplines of golf, cricket, basketball, shooting, and rock climbing, and complete 40-metre sprints, a mini ironman, take soccer penalty shootouts, bench press until they blow up and even attempt dune buggy racing....

Speaking to my inside man, Billy is doing quite well, not winning a lot, but very consistent in top placings giving him a good chance to take it out

Yeah, I know, unfortunately my man was only involved in the first couple of episodes, so I can't give you a winner..  :(

I thought the ironman would kill it! Some probably already know the winner. Can't see symonds or whincup winning.

Why surprising? 3 golf challenges and slogging a cricket ball, hardly a test of athleticism.

Mind you, top class motor racers do tend to be supremely fit anyway and generally have training regimes that are the equal of any other professional sportsman.
